Philosophy

Dr. Berg’s approach to the college process is centered on the premise that students need  to focus on what they want to get out of their college education. For many high school students, that means exploring their interests, thinking about who they are as a person and what kinds of experiences they would like to pursue.

Getting into a college that is a good fit for the student’s needs and interests and where a student can be both academically successful and personally fulfilled is the most important goal. Whether it is college advising or the application process, Dr. Berg views students in terms of their strengths but also understands the challenges of having an LD/ADD/ADHD or just needing more support in a college setting.  Throughout the college process, Dr. Berg encourages students to develop self advocacy skills and to seek out support for those areas where they may need additional help.
