Background

Trained as a Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Berg's education and experience provide a unique background to draw from when understanding children and young-adult development. Dr. Berg started her clinical work with children, adolescents and young adults over 20 years ago and has successfully navigated a variety of academic, social and emotional challenges for students including two of her own children, who have learning differences. This combination of educational, clinical and personal experience makes her uniquely qualified to understand both the skills and the obstacles that need to be addressed for students with learning differences.

Dr. Berg has advised children aged five all the way through college and graduate school. She has developed a highly effective and customized approach to assisting families find the right support and environment for their children to succeed in and out of the classroom.

Dr. Berg earned a B.A. in Psychology from The George Washington University, an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Marymount University and a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

  • Identifying and placing students in schools that meet their needs and interests

  • Teaching clients and their families to advocate for their needs at their school

  • Mentoring to help students navigate the various issues that emerge while in school.

  • Replacement options for students that need to shift gears during a semester, or in between school years.
