In this unusual Covid year of college admissions, the trend of focusing on students' personal stories over their standardized test scores continues. While many students are still attempting to take standardized testing, it is not required at the vast majority of colleges this year. Admissions committees are instead focusing on how students have been impacted and how they have managed during Covid.
I first posted about this trend back in June. Here is a link to a new article citing the same trend: https://www.wsj.com/articles/college-admissions-in-a-covid-year-sats-are-out-personal-stories-are-in-11600315272 The article is behind a paywall.
